Fly Vision: the first tablet from Fly is already in the market!

Meridian Group, owner of Fly mobile phone brand announced the launch of its compact multimedia tablet Fly Vision in Russia. Powered by Android 2.2 Fly Vision is the first tablet delivered under Fly brand.

                         

To cater the growing interest for devices which ensure easy access to multimedia content and extensive functionality for business and entertainment, Fly has created the company’s first device based on Android 2.2. Fly Vision tablet can offer users exciting opportunities for communication and content management at a reasonable price.

                                                                             

 

Fly Vision is equipped with a 7-inch TFT display. A bright and sharp screen allows users to read e-books comfortably, browse HD videos and movies and enjoy web-surfing.

 

The tablet’s compact size makes it easy to carry around. Fly Vision weighs only 350g, and its dimensions are 195x120x12mm.

 

The tablet runs on a 600 MHz Rockchip 2818 chip and can tackle various tasks. The 4000 mA/h battery ensures up to 6 hours of continuous work. With 256 MB RAM it has 4 GB of flash memory which can be expanded up to 16 GB owing to microSD card support.

 

Fly Vision can play HD-videos, so users can make the best of watching movies. The device is equipped with Wi-Fi module for Internet connectivity, along with a standard 3.5mm audiojack adaptor and a built-in loudspeaker.

 

Fly Vision can offer various pre-installed applications and interesting solutions. Office Suite offers almost all programs on the MSOffice package. Apart from the standard kit of Google applications (Google Talk, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube), the device is also equipped with other tools for all occasions.

For entertainment

 

SPB TV – a program for viewing TV channels on a mobile device through a Wi-Fi connection. Viewing and searching TV channels is easy and handy owing to speed channel selection in the “Picture-in-Picture” mode. Live broadcasts are available as long as on-demand videos.

 

FBreader – a program for reading e-books which supports the following formats: oeb, epub, fb2, fb2.zip. It can also work directly with archives: zip, tar, gzip, and read oeb, epub, fb2 files from the Internet. In this case a book will be downloaded into the device and opened.

 

Film Library – a free classifier of films and actors for Fly Vision. Automatic download of film profiles from popular web site Kinopoisk.ru. With Film Library application your movie collection will always be at hand.

 

For communication

 

The tablet contains a pre-installed instant messaging client – Utalk developed specially for mobile devices. It supports all popular services including: VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Windows Live Messenger ® (MSN), Google Talk ™, ICQ ®, Jabber ®, iChat® / MobileMe ®, Facebook Chat.

 

LiveJournal – a client for the popular blogging service. It allows posting texts, photos, editing posts, saving drafts and customizing the application in a number of ways.

 

Mail.ru Agent – a solution offering wide functionality for communication: instant messaging, free SMS to mobile phones, microblogging. Savings from using mobile communication options: on the average, 1 ruble spent on Internet-GPRS allows sending about 100 messages, which is a lot cheaper than common SMS.

 

Twitter – a client for microblogging in the popular network. It allows posting twits, photos, videos and user location.

 

Facebook – a client for communicating in the popular social network. It allows changing statuses, viewing news feed, posting photos and many more.

 

Yandex services

 

Yandex.Maps – a tool which allows knowing your way around the city with help of a mobile device. Yandex.Maps can show buildings, streets and other facilities on the maps of over 200 cities in Russia, Ukraine and other countries along with satellite images, information about current traffic situation, user’s location and important driving marks: cameras, traffic accidents, road works and so on.

 

Yandex.Fotki – an application for fast upload of photos from mobile devices. You can upload single images or entire albums.

 

Yandex.Widgets – a range of widgets for the main screen: Weather, Traffic, Search and other tools.

 

Fly Vision tablet in black and white case will hit mobile stores in the beginning of July at a recommended price of 5990 rubles.
